Founded in 2013 by Joe and Lauren Grimm, Grimm Artisanal Ales is an award-winning brewery committed to pursuing excellence. Lala’s Brooklyn Apizza is located on the upper level at Grimm Artisanal Ales in Williamsburg and is led by Chef Greg Massaro. Opened in Summer 2023, the restaurant features our own eccentric take on the uniquely charred New Haven apizza style, with an ethereally thin crust made from our house-milled malted wheat, fermented with our own house sourdough culture, and baked in an Italian wood-fired oven. With a seasonally changing and locally sourced menu, Lala’s has been featured in publications like Eater, The New York Times, Time Out, and more. Our kitchen team is completely cross-trained and works collaboratively. We are passionate about food, experimentation, and the intersection between beer, fermentation, and food. Ideal candidates: Comfortability working with wood fired oven and sourdough Energetic and respectful team player with clear communication skills Enthusiasm and passion for wholesome, seasonal, and fermented food Ability to multitask in fast-paced kitchen environment A flexible attitude to adapt to evolving structures and procedures Highly organized, punctual, and with a eye for detail Ability and knowledge of novel and seasonal ingredients Qualifications: Kitchen experience with knowledge of sourdough, wood fired cooking, and pizza preferred but not required. Ability to perform physical requirements of the role including standing/walking for entirety of shift, bending, pulling, pushing, using stairs, lifting and carrying up to 55 pounds Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays Responsibilities: Follow all health and safety regulations Oversee the disposal and cleanliness of all trash basins and containers in the kitchen area Stock all cleaning supplies and chemicals in the kitchen Clean and maintain all kitchen areas and equipment Responsible for cleaning all dishes according to sanitation requirements, including operating and maintaining the dishwasher Responsible for keeping the dish pit organized and assisting the kitchen in keeping the line and prep areas organized and clean Look out for and report repair needs Assist kitchen staff as needed throughout service Assist in running and bussing food and dishes Prep food items as needed Assist in putting deliveries and orders away Responsible for keeping the kitchen areas clean and sanitary Shadowing and learning cook stations Excellent discount program for both Lala’s and Grimm products PTO Join a passionate and vibrant team of food and beer lovers who are committed to experimentation, innovation, and good community vibes #J-18808-Ljbffr
