Seasonal Labor and Delivery RN - 13 Weeks

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor and Delivery unit for a seasonal contract position. This 13-week role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional care to expectant mothers and their newborns.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit.
• Monitor maternal and fetal health, utilizing advanced equipment and techniques.
• Assist with labor and delivery procedures including SVD, cerclages, and C-sections.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to all unit policies and attendance guidelines.

Schedule

This position involves a rotating shift schedule with both day (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) and night (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) shifts. Weekend work is required, alternating every other weekend.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license with relevant experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Must have certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and STABLE.
• Intermediate fetal monitoring and C-section circulation competency are required.
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery is necessary.
• Competency in internal monitor placement is preferred.
