Work with business owners to review contracts with subcontractors. Collaborate directly with Global Leadership of your Business Unit. Work with internal business owners to review and submit comments on RFP's and contracts being negotiated and liaise with other counsels when required. Coordinate activity with approved legal processes for contract review as provided for under our Contract Review Policy of North American General Counsel. Interact with Kuehne+Nagel's Compliance Officer to assure proper adherence to our Code of Conduct and Government requirements of anti-trust and anti-corruption nature; Together with business owners, interact with insurance brokers, Nacora and Anchor Risk Services, to assess need for procurement of additional insurance coverage for the individual.What We Would Like You To BringBe legally qualified and have solid corporate/commercial law experience. Experience in logistics, particularly Road Logistics, is highly beneficial. Immigration law experience is preferred, but not required. Results-focused orientation, pragmatism, and intercultural sensitivity. Persuasive personality with global mindset and a highly collaborative working style. Keen analytical skills, excellent networking abilities, and ability to identify critical issues that might be industry specific. Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. Kuehne+Nagel reviews pay ranges regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay based on industry market data.
