We are looking for a Paralegal to join a busy legal team in East Syracuse, New York in a Contract to permanent position. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in legal support who is eager to build on their experience in a structured office environment. The role focuses on preparing key legal documents, supporting case activity, and contributing to efficient day-to-day operations with accuracy and energy.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and revise legal documents such as motions, summonses, and complaints with close attention to detail and formatting standards.

• Provide administrative and case support to attorneys by organizing files, managing correspondence, and maintaining documentation.

• Use Microsoft Word and Excel to create, update, and track legal materials, case information, and related records.

• Assist with document management and maintain orderly electronic and physical case files for easy access and accuracy.

• Coordinate deadlines, monitor case-related timelines, and help ensure materials are completed in a timely manner.

• Communicate effectively with internal team members and external contacts regarding case documents and general legal support needs.

• Contribute to an efficient office workflow by handling daily legal secretarial duties and supporting ongoing matters as assigned.

• At least 2 years of experience in a Legal Secretary, Paralegal, or similar legal support role.
• Hands-on experience drafting motions, summonses, and complaints in a legal setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with legal document preparation, organization, and file management.
• Experience using cloud-based legal tools is a plus.
• Strong written communication skills and a high level of accuracy in document work.
• A motivated, detail-oriented, and success-driven approach, with an interest in developing long-term legal support skills.
