About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead its enterprise IT strategy and vision. The successful candidate will be a forward-looking technology leader with a strong background in regulated life sciences, particularly in the areas of biotechnology or commercial pharmaceuticals. The CIO will be responsible for owning and evolving the IT, digital enablement, and data roadmap, ensuring that technology investments align with business strategy, growth priorities, and functional transformation goals. This role demands a strategic partner who can modernize platforms, leverage AI technologies, and enhance decision-making, productivity, and business performance. The CIO will also be tasked with overseeing cybersecurity, privacy, and risk management, as well as establishing governance frameworks for technology and data. Applicants for the CIO position at the company should have a minimum of 20 years' experience in information technology leadership, with a proven track record of translating business priorities into scalable digital, data, and technology solutions. The role requires a leader with strong commercial, operational, and financial acumen, capable of managing budgets, investment planning, and technology portfolio prioritization. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading cross-functional transformation initiatives, influencing executive stakeholders, and building high-performing teams. A deep understanding of the life sciences industry, particularly in the areas of GxP, SOX, data privacy, and IT risk management, is essential. The CIO will be expected to foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning across IT and digital capabilities, and to manage strategic vendors and partners to optimize service delivery and long-term technology value.
