Position Title: Ritchie Center Hockey Concessions Supervisor

Location: Ritchie Center, University of Denver
Employment Type: Part-Time / Event-Based

Position Summary:

The Ritchie Center Hockey Concessions Supervisor plays a key leadership role in delivering exceptional food and beverage service during University of Denver hockey games. This position oversees the operations of concession stands, ensuring smooth service, staff coordination, and compliance with food safety standards. Ideal candidates are proactive, customer-focused, and thrive in fast-paced event environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise concession stand operations during designated hockey games.
• Lead and support a team of concession staff, ensuring efficient service and positive guest interactions.
• Monitor food preparation, inventory levels, and equipment functionality.
• Enforce food safety, sanitation, and cash handling procedures.
• Assist with setup, breakdown, and restocking of concession areas.
• Communicate with kitchen staff to coordinate service needs.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate concerns as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional concession environment.

Shifts typically range from 6–8 hours depending on game schedule and attendance.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in concessions, food service, or hospitality.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic cash handling procedures.
• ServSafe certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedule.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly wage: $20.64–$25.02/hour depending on experience.
