We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist specializing in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) and OB/GYN imaging to provide high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services in a patient-centered clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in fetal anatomy scanning, high-risk obstetrical imaging, gynecologic ultrasound procedures, and fetal monitoring while delivering compassionate care to patients and families. This role requires strong technical proficiency, excellent communication skills, and experience working in high-risk OB/GYN and MFM settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform specialized obstetric, fetal, and gynecologic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Conduct high-risk Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) imaging studies including fetal anatomy scans, Doppler studies, biophysical profiles, and fetal monitoring.
• Accurately obtain and document diagnostic ultrasound images to support physician interpretation and patient diagnosis.
• Perform pelvic and endovaginal ultrasound examinations.
• Assist physicians during invasive diagnostic and surgical procedures including amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and umbilical blood transfusions.
• Perform nonstress testing and fetal monitoring procedures as indicated.
• Educate and support patients and families during complex and emotionally sensitive situations.
• Maintain compliance with AIUM and ASRT sonography practice standards.
• Utilize hospital systems and EHR applications for patient tracking, scheduling, image management, documentation, and exam charging.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure quality imaging standards are consistently met.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program required.
• ARDMS OB/GYN certification required.
• Registered with ARRT or RDMS required (or eligible within one year of hire if applicable).
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) and OB/GYN ultrasound experience required.
• Strong experience with pelvic and endovaginal ultrasound procedures required.
• Experience with first trimester nuchal translucency, second trimester fetal anatomy scans, Doppler studies, biophysical profiles, 3D/4D imaging, and fetal monitoring required.
• Experience assisting with amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling preferred.
• Fetal Echocardiography experience preferred.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills required.
• English speaking, reading, and writing proficiency required.

Important Details:

• 13-week contract position (extensions available)
• Shift is 8-hour day shift (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM), 40 hrs/week
• Location is Charleston, SC 29414
• Pay Range for Locals: $55 - $60 per hour
• Pay Range for Travelers: $2,710 - $2,760 per week
