Oncology Nurse - BMT

Oncology Nurse - BMT Schedule - Weekend requirement: Every other weekend required - Shift pattern: Confirm specific shifts upon submission Assignment Details - Average daily census: 30 - Beds/rooms: 32 Requirements - Minimum 1 year oncology experience required - Oncology/chemotherapy experience mandatory - First-time travelers accepted - Must be able to interpret/manage dysrhythmias (Relias EKG exam required) - Required certifications: ONS/ONCC chemo certification, ACLS, BLS Roles and Responsibilities - Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for adverse reactions. - Provide care for patients undergoing autologous stem cell transplants. - Manage central lines/ports and perform blood draws. - Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to changes in patient status. - Administer blood/blood products and maintain IV therapies. - Ensure compliance with isolation precautions and manage Foley catheters. Compliance/Notes - Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only) - MO: may submit without license; MO or compact required before issuance if applicable - IL: license in hand required at time of submission - No local candidates within 75-mile radius accepted - Compliance documents due 3pm CST Monday before start date - Labs within 4872 hours of signing; required modules must be completed pre-start - Facial hair must allow proper fit testing for respiratory protection
