Job Summary and Qualifications The Laboratory Technician (MLT) will utilize their skills to conduct tests on blood, urine, and other body fluids to provide valuable information for diagnosing and evaluating patient medical conditions. You will contribute to Performance Improvement initiatives ensuring continuous quality in our laboratory services. It is crucial to maintain cultural sensitivity when interacting with patients, visitors, and colleagues while fostering a supportive teamwork environment. In this position, you will: Process specimens and inspect them for proper identification and integrity. Conduct various laboratory tests, evaluate results, and accurately report and verify findings in the Laboratory Information System. Perform and assess periodic quality control in compliance with established policies. Evaluate new or modified procedures, reagents, and instruments under the guidance of the Section Coordinator. Troubleshoot instruments as necessary, guided by the Section Coordinator. Engage in departmental goals and initiatives championed by the Laboratory Director and Manager. Qualifications for Success: Associate degree from a NCCLS accredited Medical Technician program. Preferred: Experience in a hospital laboratory setting.
