Work independently, multitask, involve others as needed, communicate professionally via email and phone, build and maintain positive relationships with client groups and colleagues, and serve as backup for the catering administrative assistant to ensure excellent service in all catering operations daily. Responsibilities Coordinate catering for meetings or events as needed and meet with all levels of staff throughout the hospital for events. Ensure accuracy of all orders and related details and enter all orders accurately into the system. Deliver catered items (food, beverage, equipment, etc.) to various locations according to event routing sheet. Call/email customers as needed to clarify and confirm orders prior to meetings. Maintain a well‑organized catering room and meet all safety requirements; ensure equipment is clean, sanitized, and in optimal condition. Promote customer satisfaction at each event through excellent customer service. Maintain daily compliance with food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards. Oversee overall catering operation, including quality and food presentation. Respond to customer feedback to meet needs and enhance catering services. Lead catering operations and staff for specific events, which may include booking, costing, pricing, and coordinating additional staff and equipment rental as needed. Lead, train, and schedule staff (including temporary and permanent department staff) based on event needs. Other duties as assigned.
