Minimum 1+ years Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience and CNA certificate required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding opportunity awaits an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide essential care and support to students across K-12 grade levels in a dynamic school district setting. Working onsite, you’ll play a vital role in assisting either individual students in a 1:1 capacity or a group of 10-20 medically fragile students, depending on the specific needs each day. The assignment runs from August 10, 2026, to June 4, 2027.
Schedule:
- Full-time hours
- Elementary campus: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Secondary campus: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Qualifications:
- Valid Texas CNA certification from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC)
- Experience supporting pediatric populations preferred
- Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and grade levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to complete any additional school district training as required
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily personal care, medical assistance, and mobility support to students as assigned
- Document care provided and report any changes in student status to the appropriate staff
- Assist with transferring, feeding, or monitoring students according to care plans
- Collaborate with teachers, nursing staff, and other professionals to create a supportive school environment
- Ensure a safe, hygienic, and compassionate setting for all students in your care
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to policy regarding student information
