Travel RN - Telemetry

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a Post Acute Neuro unit requiring 2 years of acute care RN experience and Epic proficiency.

Job Details

• Hospital-based Post Acute Neuro unit with 30 beds,
• Patient population includes neurology and oncology diagnoses,
• Patient ratio of 5:1,
• RN reads telemetry but does not perform titration,
• Administers medications including BP meds, heparin, pain management, and chemo (certified staff only),
• Uses equipment such as IV pumps, PCA pumps, dynamaps, and feeding pumps,
• Uses Epic EMR,
• Night shift schedule from 6:45pm to 7:15am,
• Works three 12-hour shifts per week totaling 36 hours,
• Every other weekend required,
• No 48-hour work weeks,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (KY or Compact) currently in hand,
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required,
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required,
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required,
• Epic EMR experience required,

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care including assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for neuro and oncology patients,
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and patient families to support individualized care needs,
• Deliver patient and family education specific to care, treatment, and discharge planning,
• Mentor and precept staff while fostering strong teamwork and leadership within the unit,
• Delegate tasks appropriately to licensed and non-licensed personnel,
• Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives,
• Comply with regulatory standards and practice governance model
