The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Traverse City that are seeking EDM Operators. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment.
- Load and unload workpieces into EDM machines.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to set up EDM operations.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of EDM machines.
- Inspect finished parts for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues with EDM equipment.
- Adjust machine parameters to optimize cutting performance and part quality.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 years experience operating EDM machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming
- Experience with precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, depth gauges)
- Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
