Staff Accountant should be experienced in all basic aspects of financial accounting and reporting as well as development and maintaining internal control policies and procedures.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:General Ledger Maintenance – Maintain and update general ledger accounts accordingly with daily and monthly journal entries.Month-End Close - Execute timely month-end and year-end closing processes independently.Daily Treasury Oversight – Track daily cash positions and bank balances.Account Reconciliation - Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, sub-ledgers, and intercompany transactions.Financial Reporting – Assist in the preparation of monthly balance sheets, income statements, and variance analysis reports.Year-end & Tax Support – Assist in providing schedules, records, and documentation for outside accountants for year-end reporting.OTHER JOB DUTIES:All other duties – Perform all other duties as assigned including carrying out responsibilities, performing duties, using skills, and working in conditions necessary to perform all assigned tasksCOMPETENCIES/SKILLS:Analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience with financial statement preparation.Excellent understanding of GAAP and relevant financial accounting regulations.Strong and advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) and knowledge of accounting software programs – Great Plains is a plus.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Highly organized and detail oriented.Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 10+ pounds.Visual acuity, speech, and hearing.Hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment.Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions.Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.3+ years of experience as an accountant, assistant controller, or similar role.Professional certification such as CPA, CFM, or CMA preferred, but not required #J-18808-Ljbffr
