Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed inpatient overflow unit serving a mixed level of care including medical-surgical and step-down patients
Monitor and manage telemetry for all patients hardwired to bedside monitors as indicated
Care for short-stay patients with a length of stay under 24 hours, adapting to a fast-paced, high-turnover environment
Maintain patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 depending on level of care, collaborating with charge nurses and CNAs on both day and night shifts
Document accurately and efficiently using Cerner EMR
Float to other units as needed per facility guidelines

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
Minimum 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care or Step-Down setting
Demonstrated telemetry competency
Current BLS certification (required)
Current ACLS certification (required)

Preferred Experience / Skills

Recent progressive care or step-down experience strongly preferred
Experience with Cerner EMR
Positive, patient-experience-focused attitude with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
