This opportunity is designed for an ambitious associate attorney who wants meaningful involvement in every stage of litigation, from developing case strategy through trial. You will work closely with experienced trial lawyers, receive hands-on mentorship, and build the skills needed to become a confident litigator and trial advocate in a collaborative and professional environment.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n Manage and contribute to civil litigation matters from initial evaluation through resolution and trial.\n Analyze facts, conduct legal research, and develop effective case strategies.\n Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other legal documents.\n Communicate professionally with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, experts, and the court.\n Prepare for and take depositions of parties, witnesses, and expert witnesses.\n Argue motions and participate in hearings, mediations, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.\n Collaborate with senior attorneys while taking ownership of assigned matters and litigation responsibilities.\n Maintain strong case organization, matter management, deadlines, and ethical standards.\n\n\nMust-Have Skills:\n\n Active membership in good standing with the California Bar.\n Strong interest in civil litigation, courtroom advocacy, and trial practice.\n Ability to analyze complex legal and factual issues and develop sound case strategies.\n Excellent legal writing, research, oral advocacy, and presentation skills.\n Strong client, witness, expert, and opposing counsel communication abilities.\n High level of professionalism, integrity, organization, and attention to detail.\n Strong work ethic and demonstrated desire to succeed in a demanding litigation environment.\n\n\nNice-to-Have Skills:\n\n Prior civil litigation experience.\n Personal injury litigation experience.\n Experience taking depositions and arguing motions.\n Exposure to settlement negotiations, mediation, or trial preparation.\n Experience working with expert witnesses and complex factual records.\n Judicial clerkship, moot court, trial advocacy, or comparable courtroom experience.\n
