Staff Accountant

Wallowa County Grain Growers is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This position plays an important role in supporting the financial operations of our multi-department cooperative, helping ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and sound business decisions. What You’ll Do Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting Support month-end and year-end closing activities Reconcile general ledger and bank accounts Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Help maintain internal accounting controls and financial compliance Coordinate audit preparation and supporting documentation Partner with department managers to provide financial insight Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency Support accounting operations across multiple company locations Qualifications Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Three or more years of progressive accounting experience Successful candidates will have: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting Experience with reconciliations, month-end close, and budgeting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality A positive attitude and team-oriented approach Why Join WCGG?
