JOB STATEMENT: The Sr. Director, S&OP leads the enterprise Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)/Integrated Business Planning (IBP) operating rhythm to align demand, supply, and financial plans into a single, decision-ready consensus plan. This role establishes governance, drives cross-functional accountability, and enables fact-based trade-offs to optimize customer service, inventory, capacity, and profitability in support of business strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Own the end-to-end monthly S&OP/IBP cycle (demand review, supply review, financial reconciliation, and executive review), ensuring disciplined cadence, clear inputs/outputs, and decision rights.
• Facilitate cross-functional alignment across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to deliver a single, consensus plan and documented assumptions.
• Lead executive S&OP forums by framing decisions, presenting scenarios and trade-offs, and driving timely resolution of gaps and constraints.
• Drive scenario planning (“what-if”) and risk/opportunity management to balance service, cost, inventory, and margin; recommend actions (e.g., production shifts, inventory targets, allocation, demand shaping).
• Ensure commercial plans (forecast, promotions, new items) are translated into feasible supply plans aligned to capacity, material availability, and operational constraints.
• Partner with Finance to reconcile the operating plan to budget/targets and quantify impacts on revenue, gross margin, and working capital.
• Define, own, and report planning performance metrics (e.g., forecast accuracy/bias, service level/OTIF, inventory turns/days on hand, plan attainment) and lead corrective action plans.
• Establish standards for data quality and planning master data (e.g., lead times, lot sizes, safety stock parameters) to improve plan reliability and execution.
• Champion continuous improvement of S&OP/IBP processes, tools, and analytics; identify automation opportunities and drive adoption of best practices.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development for planning resources and cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen planning capability and accountability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations, Business, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or related field required; master’s degree (MBA/MS) preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, production planning, or integrated business planning (IBP), including leadership of cross-functional planning processes.
• 3+ years in people leadership and/or enterprise program leadership (influencing without authority across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance).
• Demonstrated experience designing or maturing an S&OP/IBP operating model, including cadence, governance, and executive review.
• Experience in a manufacturing and/or CPG environment preferred; wine/spirits or regulated food & beverage experience a plus.
• APICS/ASCM certification(s) preferred (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) and/or formal S&OP/IBP training.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Expert knowledge of S&OP/IBP best practices, demand and supply planning, inventory planning, and capacity planning concepts.
• Strong business acumen with ability to connect operational decisions to financial outcomes (revenue, margin, working capital, service).
• Advanced analytical skills; ability to perform scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, and trade-off recommendations under uncertainty.
• Ability to establish governance, meeting cadence, agendas, and decision rights; drives closure on actions, owners, and due dates.
• Proven leadership and influencing skills across functions and levels, including executive facilitation and conflict resolution.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to translate complex data into clear narratives and decision-ready options.
• Strong systems aptitude: experience with ERP and planning tools (e.g., SAP/Oracle, Kinaxis, Anaplan, OMP, Blue Yonder, o9, or similar) and advanced Excel required; Power BI/Tableau a plus.
• Understanding of master data, planning parameters, and data integrity fundamentals; ability to define and monitor key planning KPIs (forecast accuracy/bias, OTIF, inventory turns/DOH, plan attainment).
• Project/change management capability to implement process improvements, standard work, and continuous improvement across the planning cycle.
• High integrity and sound judgment; able to operate with appropriate confidentiality and lead with a customer-service mindset

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Sit for an extended period up to 10-12 hours 
• Ability to walk in both indoor and outdoor manufacturing environments
• Perform tasks using standard computer equipment
• May be required to package items, lift, push and carry boxes up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to stoop, bend, climb, kneed, crouch, and twist
• Ability to ascend and descent ramps, steps, ladders, and stairs using three-point contact

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

Side shield safety glasses, safety vest, head/ear protection, and proper footwear when in production facility
