Role Summary

We’re excited to be hiring for the Social Media Specialist within the Global Corporate Communications team. As the Social Media Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our digital presence and engaging our global audiences. You will be responsible for managing and executing social media strategies that align with our brand objectives, driving impactful campaigns, and measuring and analyzing the impact of our key digital assets.. You will report to the Director, Digital & Design. 

You will join a team of passionate, talented corporate communications who collaborate to engage our many audiences by strengthening our culture, supporting our business growth, and furthering our purpose. Responsibilities:

• As a steward of the Colgate-Palmolive brand, bring the CP brand to life in unique, scroll-stopping ways across social channels to drive increased engagement, growth and brand love for the Colgate-Palmolive company

• Develop influencer tactics for key audiences for the corporate brand

• Collaborate with Digital & Design and broader Corporate Communications teams to strategize and execute social media initiatives

• Own the development and implementation of strategic briefs tailored for LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other platforms, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and best practices

• Partner closely with Corporate Communications teams and other functions to ideate and execute campaigns that deliver on defined media plans, as well as ownership of how the Corporate Strategy comes to life across our social platforms in unique ways

• Write and edit engaging post copy to align with brand guidelines and company values.

• Manage the social content calendar, schedule posts using our CMS platform, and proactively communicate updates to high-priority or sensitive content

• Oversee end-to-end social media campaigns, contributing to ideation, managing team feedback and coordinating with design and video teams to ensure timely delivery with a strong sense of ownership.

• Proactively monitor social media channels through social listening tools to identify trends, sentiment, and opportunities, while actively managing and engaging with our online community to foster positive relationships and brand loyalty

• Set up and oversee paid social campaigns, monitoring and optimizing performance for effectiveness

• Proactively investigate and evaluate emerging social media platforms, assessing their potential for brand alignment, audience engagement, and long-term strategic value to Colgate-Palmolive

• Analyze social performance data, compile insights, and present analysis and actionable recommendations to the team regularly in order to optimize creative and strategic recommendations

Required Qualifications

• ​​6+ years of experience in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing, with proven success in campaign management and performance optimization.

• Bachelors Degree

• Creative & strategic mindset with a track record of developing engaging content and staying ahead of industry trends.

• Experience in creating strategic social media plans that align with business goals and executing through creative omni-channel content.

• Strong listening skills and a collaborative, communicative approach with the ability to unite diverse stakeholders by proposing innovative, practical solutions

• Strong analytical skills for monitoring performance, interpreting data, and making data-driven recommendations.

• In-depth understanding of LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok social channels.

• An understanding of and experience working with generative AI, especially how social content (on platforms like Reddit, X, LinkedIn, SubStack, etc) can influence key stakeholder brand perception and LLM outputs

• Demonstrated ability to write and edit compelling social copy, ideate platform-specific social content

• Proven expertise in managing multiple projects, including brief development, content approvals, and timely execution.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and crisis management.

• Proficiency in social media management (e.g., Emplifi, HootSuite, Sprinklr) social listening tools (ie Meltwater, Signal AI) and project management tools (e.g. Monday.com, Asana).

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $96,800.00 - $121,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
