Hiring Unit: College of Social Sciences - Department of Urban and Regional Planning Location: Manoa Campus Salary Information: Step 18 ($32,784 annual, MA Program); Step 19 ($34,098 annual, PhD Program at 50% FTE Monthly type: 11 month Full/time/part time: Part time - Full time equivalency 50% Temporary/Permanent: Temporary Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct reviews of the literature and IFFs used by other comparable states; Review preliminary work towards the IFF prepared by EOA's research statistician; Help organize and convene meetings with EOA and AAAs, as needed per the project schedule; Assist with creating two (2) possible IFFs for EOA review and recommendations; Assist the PI support EOA during the public comment period, April 12-May 20, 2027; Complete the final IFF report for EOA by May 30, 2027; Other related duties, as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: Classified, full-time (minimum 6 credits) graduate student in good academic standing (GPA of 3.0 or above) at the University of Hawai?i at Manoa. Certificate and non-degree students are not eligible. Good numeracy, as in understanding and/or skills of quantitative analysis; Strong secondary research, literature review, and writing skills; Ability to work collaboratively, especially with public officials and researchers Excellent attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to organize meetings and summarize meeting minutes

Desirable Qualifications: Data collection and management skills Familiarity with census data and demographic analysis Familiarity with spatial analysis, including GIS Facility with econometric models Familiarity with health challenges of older adults and health services delivery Familiarity with issues of social and spatial equity and justice
