Blender/Chemical Plant Operator

Pay Rate: $25-$28 per hour
Summary
Location: East Hanover, NJ
Duration: 6+ Months
Hours: 6AM to 2:30PM
Responsibilities
- Follow Standard Operation Procedures
- Offload and unload bulk chemicals
- Transfer chemicals as required
- Perform blending of batch operations
- Fill out required paperwork
- Continually strive to learn and improve
- Perform lock out tag out on equipment per procedure/guidance
- Perform regular inspections to maintain compliance
- Perform preventive maintenance and quality control checks
- Transfer of materials and material sampling
- Monitor and record process data as required
- Proactively respond safely and quickly to process abnormalities
- Maintain good housekeeping
- Package products in various containers as needed
- Perform tasks to maintain inventory of materials, including cycle counts, SAP transactions, tank gauging, calculating tank quantities and transfers
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Perform necessary tasks to maintain inventory of materials
Preferred Skills
- Active role in learning the equipment, processes, and systems
- Participation in organizational improvement teams, such as Safety Committees, Quality Improvement, Productivity/Cost Reductions Teams
- Ability to share knowledge to train/mentor other team members
