Key Responsibilities

• Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and other machine shop equipment.

• Manufacture, repair, and modify precision metal components to specifications.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining specifications.

• Select appropriate tooling and determine proper speeds, feeds, and machining methods.

• Machine parts to specified dimensions and tolerances.

• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience with manual machining equipment and processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to use micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work safely and independently in an industrial machine shop environment.
• Ability to stand and work around machinery for extended periods.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

• Experience working with manual lathes and mills in a production or job shop environment.
• Knowledge of tooling, metal properties, speeds, feeds, and machining tolerances.
• Experience machining a variety of metals and materials.
• Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments.
• Previous experience performing machine setup and determining appropriate tooling.
• Experience with precision inspection and quality control practices.
