Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking a OR Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract at a Level 2 Trauma Center. The Nurse will support various surgical specialties, ensuring patient safety and efficient OR operations.

Responsibilities:

• Circulate and scrub during surgical procedures across multiple specialties including ENT, orthopedics, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro.
• Prepare the operating room by ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready prior to procedures.
• Monitor patient status and communicate effectively with the surgical team throughout operations.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including maintaining sterile environments and proper documentation.
• Complete required certifications and training, including EPIC system modules.
• Float within skill set to support staffing needs as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid NJ or Compact RN license required at submission.
• Two years of current acute care OR experience.
• Robotic surgery and ENT experience preferred.
• Demonstrated scrub and circulate skills with certification checklist submission.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to work evening shifts (5x8 hours), with availability for holidays and flexibility for schedule requests.
