Resumen del puesto
El Trabajador de atención directa brinda apoyo individual y no médico a un cliente de pago privado en su domicilio o en la comunidad. Este rol se centra en asistir con las actividades de la vida diaria, garantizar la seguridad, fomentar la independencia y mejorar la calidad de vida general del cliente.
Responsabilidades clave
Asistir con las actividades de la vida diaria (AVD), incluyendo el baño, el vestirse, el aseo personal y el uso del inodoro.
Proporcionar apoyo a la movilidad, incluyendo traslados y asistencia para la deambulación.
Preparar comidas y asistir en la alimentación si es necesario.
Realizar tareas ligeras de limpieza del hogar (lavandería, lavado de platos, ordenar las áreas de estar).
Brindar compañía y apoyo emocional.
Acompañar al cliente a citas o actividades comunitarias (si se requiere).
Monitorear e informar sobre cambios en la condición física, emocional o mental del cliente.
Mantener un entorno seguro y limpio.
Seguir los planes de atención y las preferencias del cliente/familia.
Documentar los servicios prestados según sea necesario.
Requisitos
Diploma de escuela secundaria o GED (obligatorio).
Se prefiere experiencia previa en el cuidado de personas o atención directa.
La experiencia con personas mayores, personas con discapacidades o en cuidados de la memoria (demencia/Alzheimer) es un valor añadido.
Capacidad para seguir instrucciones y trabajar de forma independiente.
Sólidas habilidades de comunicación e interpersonales.
Medio de transporte confiable (si se requieren tareas de transporte).
Requisitos físicos
Capacidad para levantar, trasladar o asistir a clientes (hasta [X] libras).
Capacidad para permanecer de pie, caminar, agacharse y realizar tareas físicas durante periodos prolongados.
Certificaciones preferidas (no siempre obligatorias)
RCP (Reanimación Cardiopulmonar) / Primeros Auxilios.
Certificación PCA, HHA o CNA.
Entorno de trabajo
Entorno de domicilio privado.
