We offer a flexible work schedule primarily from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some adaptability to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Therapist, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' experiences and trauma histories, ensuring tailored treatment methodologies.

• Developing and executing individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience-building among clients.
\n
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Delivering both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at fostering coping strategies and emotional processing in patients dealing with trauma.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care and support for clients.

• Conducting crisis intervention and providing immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educating clients and their families on trauma responses and available therapeutic resources to empower their healing processes.

• Maintaining confidential and precise documentation in line with legal and ethical standards pertaining to mental health practices.

• Actively participating in case consultations and team meetings to enhance trauma-informed care across our facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our ideal candidates will engage primarily with adults experiencing various mental health challenges stemming from traumatic experiences. The clients you will serve often experience PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other related disorders. By employing trauma-informed strategies, you will help these individuals build resilience and develop effective coping mechanisms.

Qualifications\n

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• At least 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in mental health counseling with a focus on trauma.
\n
• Extensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders, as well as trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills characterized by empathy and a non-judgmental approach.
\n
• Strong problem-solving abilities to remain composed and effective in high-stress situations.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, experience in delivering trauma-specific therapies, engaging in community outreach, or participating in professional advocacy for mental health initiatives will be considered advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
