Director of Admissions and Marketing

Lantern Group – Sales and Marketing Director Position: Sales and Marketing Director. Reports To: DOCO/CEO. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 2 years experience and educational training in healthcare or business management or related field. Minimum 2 years experience in sales/marketing. Minimum 2 years experience as a licensed nurse in a residential care setting. SCOPE Develop and maintain avenues of growth for Lantern. Market and educate outside sources about Lantern's services (Svayus). Participate in developing and carrying out the business plan as part of the management team. Plan and direct media and community relations. Perform market and business analysis. Achieve 8 admissions per month. Maintain 100% census. Facilitate optimal motivation of staff. WORKING CONDITIONS Operate a vehicle safely. Able to travel between offices, nursing homes, hospitals, physician offices, client and family homes, and other referral sources. Able to work in an office setting as well as in client/family homes. Able to multi-task while maintaining organization. Able to stand, bend, lift, carry office supplies and medical supplies, and assist with client transfers. Subject to frequent interruptions. Able to develop and maintain trustful relationships with all sources (clients, families, government agencies, personnel, etc.) under all circumstances. Subject to difficult family dynamics, hostile or upset clients, staff, and visitors. May work beyond normal working hours to accommodate clients, potential clients, and referral sources. Subject to injuries, odors, and infectious diseases throughout the workday. PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to sit at a desk or computer over prolonged periods and move intermittently throughout the day. Must be able to speak and write the English language. Must be able to cope with the physical, mental, and emotional stress of the position. Must have adequate vision and hearing or utilize devices enabling these senses to function adequately to assure that the position requirements can be met. Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability. Must be able to lift, push, pull a minimum of 50 pounds. Must be able to assist in evacuation of clients in the case of an emergency situation. Other requirements: Maintain a valid driver’s license. Must be able to travel to market services. Must maintain reliable transportation and full coverage insurance on vehicle. RESPONSIBILITIES Reports to DOCO/CEO. Supervises all staff assigned to the marketing department. Will make consistent contact with referral sources or potential referral sources. Develop and implement marketing action plan for community. Educate community, clients, families, and referral sources of Lantern’s services and programs. Provide tours to potential clients, families, and others and assist with resolving conflicts or issues related to the admissions process. Promote favorable public and media relations. Maintain RMS documentation of inquiry updates focusing on advancing the sale. Create marketing materials (press releases, infomercials, advertisements, brochures, pamphlets). Assist with employee retention and recruitment. Conduct speaking engagements providing information and education regarding services offered by Lantern and also educate regarding possible programs to assist with payment. Participate in community organizations related to Lantern’s scope of practice and research and report on new and existing business opportunities for Lantern. Advise DOCO/CEO of any operational problems that may affect sales. Is knowledgeable and complies with anti‑trust and Stark legislation. Provide customer service training for staff as needed. Able to train staff and management on how to perform a tour and handle an inquiry appropriately. Communicate with environmental services to ensure that suites are turned over and available for showing. Participates in personal and professional growth and development. Review and update current literature and marketing materials routinely and update as needed. Complies with assigned budget and analysis best use of budget. Screens requests for various advertising and makes recommendations based on budget. Is aware of and complies with all company policies and procedures. Promote and maintain an environment that is compliant with all local and federal regulatory agencies (includes overseeing compliance for all personnel in marketing department). Applies disciplinary actions on those supervised when appropriate in a fair and consistent manner per company policies and procedures. Maintains current knowledge of leadership and management principles. Performs an honest, accurate, and timely assessment of potential clients to ensure that Lantern is able to safely care for them. Assess potential clients and families core values. Correctly and completely review residency agreement with potential client or family and ensures documents are completed correctly. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the DOCO/CEO. Expectations: Eight admissions a month and maintain 95% census at all times. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Minimum 2‑year experience in sales and marketing. Minimum 2‑year experience as a licensed nurse in a residential care setting; high school diploma or equivalent. Formal education or specialized training in management, marketing, sales, behavioral health, or care of the geriatric population. #J-18808-Ljbffr
