Senior Camp Counselor – Lake in the Woods Day Camp Join our vibrant team at Lake in the Woods Day Camp as a Senior Camp Counselor, where you will play a vital role in creating a fun, safe, and enriching environment for our campers. This position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced counselors to lead activities, mentor younger staff, and contribute to memorable summer experiences for children of all ages. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and engage groups of campers in daily activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment Lead and facilitate a variety of camp activities, including sports, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, and team‑building exercises Mentor and support junior counselors, fostering a positive team environment Enforce camp rules and safety protocols consistently and effectively Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding camper progress and concerns Assist in planning and organizing special events and themed activities Maintain a clean and organized activity area and ensure equipment is used responsibly Skills and Qualifications: Previous experience working with children in a camp, recreational, or educational setting Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to motivate and inspire young campers Knowledge of outdoor safety procedures and first aid certification preferred Responsible, reliable, and adaptable with a positive attitude Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and evenings as needed At Lake in the Woods Day Camp, we pride ourselves on fostering a supportive and inclusive community where staff can grow professionally while making a meaningful impact on children's lives.
