Job Description

The Manufacturing Production Scheduler coordinates customer orders with internal production activities to ensure accurate, timely delivery. This role reviews purchase orders, aligns them with work orders, monitors the MRP system, and communicates clearly with customers and internal teams. The position also supports shipment preparation, maintains detailed production reports, and ensures compliance with industry and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Review customer purchase orders and verify that they align with internal work orders and production plans.
• Ensure all process requirements and customer specifications are accurately captured and communicated to relevant internal teams.
• Monitor the MRP system to confirm that customer order due dates meet required delivery dates.
• Provide timely updates to customers regarding order status within the required response timeframe.
• Communicate with customers to obtain missing documentation such as blueprints, drawings, and other technical information, and secure estimated completion dates (ECDs) when needed.
• Develop and maintain daily reports on orders, production status, and scheduling activities.
• Prepare orders for shipment and assist with related documentation, including bills of lading and shipping paperwork.
• Support shipping and receiving activities by coordinating order processing and data entry as needed.
• Process work orders accurately in the MRP system and related platforms.
• Maintain compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and ITAR requirements in all scheduling and documentation activities.
• Use SAP and Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word, to manage data, reports, and customer communications.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and production coordination teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure smooth workflow.
• Provide professional customer service to address inquiries, clarify order details, and support long-term customer relationships.

Essential Skills

• Experience with MRP systems for monitoring production schedules and customer order due dates.
• Experience in manufacturing or production coordination, preferably in an aerospace environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word, for documentation, reporting, and communication.
• Ability to review and interpret customer purchase orders and align them with internal work orders.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including preparing shipments and bills of lading.
• Strong customer service skills for communicating order status and resolving documentation issues.
• Experience with order processing and data entry in a fast-paced production environment.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning tools.
• Understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards and related compliance requirements.
• Awareness of ITAR compliance considerations in an aerospace manufacturing context.

• Comfort working with purchase orders (POs) and related commercial documentation.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in manufacturing, shipping, and quality.

Work Environment

This role operates in an aerospace manufacturing environment where accuracy, compliance, and on-time delivery are critical. You will work closely with production, shipping and receiving, and customer service teams, using tools such as MRP systems, SAP, and Microsoft Office. The setting is structured around formal quality standards including AS9100 and ISO 9001, with processes designed to meet stringent regulatory and customer requirements.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gardena, CA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Gardena,CA.
