Kansas Adoption Exchange Child Specialist

As a Kansas Adoption Exchange Child Specialist,you'llserve as a champion for children in foster care who are legally free for adoption and waiting for a permanent family. Working as part of the Kansas Adoption Exchange team, you'll ensure every childhas the opportunity tobe seen by prospective adoptive families through theAdoptKSKidsadoption exchange website.

You'll develop meaningful, engaging profiles that highlight each child's unique personality, strengths, interests, and story while maintaining accurate and up-to-date information. By collaborating closely with case management teams and the Adoption Exchange Family Specialist, you'll help identify, recruit, and connect with families who can provide children with the lifelong relationships they deserve.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work (preferred) or a related human services field.
• A minimum of two (2) years of related experience working with foster care/adoption and familiarity with the Kansas child welfare system (preferred).
• Passion for helping children achieve permanency through adoption and lifelong family connections.
• Collaborate effectively within diverse, multidisciplinary teams and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to create compelling, child-centered profiles andmaintainclear,accuratedocumentation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize responsibilities, andmaintaindetailed records.
• Travel required within surrounding counties with or without accommodation.
