Opportunity:

RN - IMC

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week with 13-week contract length
• Float to all inpatient units as needed, typically to higher acuity units
• Every other weekend and every other holiday schedule required
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• 2+ years of nursing experience required with stepdown/intermediate/PCU experience mandatory
• ICU experience preferred, trauma level II experience preferred
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Ventilator/trach experience required
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN license, BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Clinical interview services required
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Eligible for up to 36 hours of low census time that can be taken in hour increments
• Care for patients with heavy telemetry monitoring, stable weaning vents/trach, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleeding, colostomy/ileostomy care, chest tubes, TBI, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke patients
• Handle primary patients and insulin drips
• Fast-paced unit requiring independence and timely task completion
• During flu season, unvaccinated staff must wear masks at all times per facility policy

This healthcare organization operates a 36-bed medical surgical intermediate care unit specializing in high-acuity patient care. The facility provides comprehensive services including trauma care, critical care support, and complex medical management. The unit focuses on patients requiring intensive monitoring and specialized care including ventilator weaning, trauma recovery, and various medical conditions requiring stepdown-level nursing care.
