Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week over 13-week contract
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Patient ratio typically 1:4 in 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit
• Eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours with potential to work partial shifts (4 or 8 hours)
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Must pass EKG test within first week of hire
• Minimum 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU) required
• 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience required
• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips mandatory
• At least one completed travel assignment required
• 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required
• Care for post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer, defibrillator, ablations, acute chest pain/MI, and medical/surgical overflow patients
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Clinical interview required
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred

This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical center featuring a fast-paced 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit with high patient turnover. The facility provides advanced cardiac care services including post-operative care for cardiac procedures, interventional cardiology services, and comprehensive heart and vascular treatments. The organization maintains high standards for cardiac care and utilizes EPIC charting systems for patient documentation.
