Senior Data Engineering Manager

Managing a team of data engineers in a hybrid work environment, the full-time Senior Data Engineering Manager will oversee the development and operation of enterprise data platforms, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities Manage and develop a data engineering team, focusing on talent planning, performance management, and team effectiveness Guide architecture and implementation decisions while collaborating with stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable platform capabilities Establish and maintain data platform standards, governance practices, and operational processes to ensure security, compliance, and quality management Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, information systems, or a related field 8+ years of relevant experience in data engineering or software engineering 5+ years of people-management experience with a focus on team objectives and performance management Demonstrated experience in designing and operating production data pipelines and platforms, including data lake architectures Strong knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Glue, and Lambda, along with proficiency in SQL and Python
