Contour Machining, Inc. is a family-owned business, known for precision machining and fabricating for the past 35+ years.

Due to Contour’s continued growth and expansion, we are looking to fill a 2nd shift machinist position at the Elk Grove Village, IL, location.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, adjust and operate milling machines
• Read, interpret and understand blueprints and drawings
• Understand the part manufacturing process
• Use programs from a USB stick to run jobs, working with both programmer and inspector
• Inspect parts using various equipment including calipers, micrometer, pin gauges, etc.
• Balance workload and prioritize as required
• Ensure achievement of customer quality requirements
• Comply with all applicable government requirements
• Establish a good working relationship with colleagues and management
• Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations

Requirements:

• Walk, stand, lift up and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Must be a US citizen
• Working knowledge of machining fundamentals and shop practices

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience; 15-20 years preferred

Shifts: Second Shift  Starting time is 4:30 PM

Benefits:

• Minimum $25/hour
• Overtime is offered - most employees are working 55-60 hours/week
