Compensation Overview Annual base salary range is $52,600 – $86,800, based on factors such as role complexity, location, education, and experience. Additional performance-based cash incentive awards may apply. Target Openings 1 What Is the Opportunity? This Associate Claim Rep – Outside Property position focuses on 1st party property claims in the Salt Lake City or Utah County area. The role is 9‑12 months training program; upon completion, candidates can progress to independent claims handling. The position may involve remote work, site visits, and occasional deployment to other states as part of the Catastrophe Response Program. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the assigned territory. What Will You Do? Participate in structured training covering insurance policies, claim processes, systems, and procedures, including virtual, classroom, and on‑the‑job training. Review, investigate, and document 1st party property claims under close supervision. Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third‑party providers. Investigate and evaluate facts and documents such as leases, contracts, and by‑laws to determine coverage for building damages per policy terms. Establish accurate scope of damages for building and contents losses and use this information for written estimates and computer‑assisted estimates. Communicate professionally and timely with customers, claimants, and internal stakeholders. Maintain accurate claim activity records in claim management systems. Learn and apply new technology implementations, system upgrades, and digital tool rollouts, while maintaining productivity and service quality. Obtain and maintain the required Insurance License(s) and/or UAS Remote Pilot Certification within three months of starting, and fulfill ongoing continuing education requirements. Participate in the Catastrophe Response Program, including possible deployment to assist customers in other states. Be physically capable of climbing ladders weighing 38–49 pounds, walking on roofs, and entering tight spaces (attic, crawl space, etc.) as required. Perform other duties as assigned. What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have? Previous internship or work experience in customer service or insurance. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Exceptional customer service skills and commitment to positive experience for insureds and claimants. Judgement and decision‑making ability. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Basic conflict resolution skills with willingness to learn advanced techniques. What is a Must Have? High School Diploma or GED with one year of customer service experience, or Bachelor’s Degree. Valid driver’s license.
