Job Title: Nurse Coordinator (RN) – Behavioral Health

Location: Peterborough, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Permanent | Full-Time
Shift: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Weekend Requirement: Some Saturdays required
Pay Range: $34.14 – $51.21/hour (Based on experience) + Benefits
Important: Candidate must be in process of relocating to New Hampshire

Job Summary

The Nurse Coordinator (RN) – Behavioral Health is responsible for coordinating clinical staff activities, ensuring smooth patient flow, and supporting effective communication within the department. This role functions as both a clinical leader and office nurse, responsible for triaging patient calls, managing prescription refills, and coordinating patient care.

The RN will independently provide, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical support staff to ensure efficient patient flow and adequate coverage
• Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to develop patient care plans
• Triage patient calls and manage prescription refill requests
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medical records
• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, disease management, and preventive care
• Advocate for patient needs and ensure high-quality, compassionate care
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (Required)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or Compact License (Required at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of medical office or clinical experience (Required)
• Current BLS (AHA) Certification (Required)
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Behavioral Health experience
• Pediatrics experience
• Prior experience in a medical office setting with clinical staff supervision
