Foundational knowledge of operating systems, networking, web applications, and common infrastructure components. Hands-on exposure to vulnerability assessment tools through coursework, labs, projects, internships, or employment, including interpreting scan results, validating findings. Understanding of how exploitability, exposure, asset criticality, business impact, and mitigating controls inform vulnerability prioritization. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and collaborate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Preferred: Experience coordinating remediation with technology owners, tracking progress, and documenting closure evidence or approved exceptions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze datasets, identify patterns, and summarize findings clearly.
