Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Security Clearance in Portsmouth, RI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic aerospace and defense location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon08:00 AM - 04:00 PMThur08:00 AM - 04:00 PMFri08:00 AM - 04:00 PMSat08:00 AM - 04:00 PMSun08:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns. Monitor entry and restricted areas, verify credentials consistent with site policies, and report policy violations, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious circumstances through proper channels. Support a professional presence at an aerospace and defense location by following post orders, maintaining awareness of changing conditions, and assisting with security-related requests from authorized personnel. Minimum Requirements: An active DoD Secret Clearance is required. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
