Whether you will spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, at CMC, you'll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.What You'll DoSupervise daily production operations and employees in a concrete pipe manufacturing facilityCoordinate labor, materials, equipment, and production schedules to meet production goals and customer deadlinesEnsure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards and specificationsMonitor workflow and production performance, making adjustments as needed to maximize productivity and minimize downtimeOversee the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and facilities, working with maintenance to address issues and reduce downtimeTrain, coach, and develop employees while providing ongoing performance feedbackPromote and enforce company safety policies and regulatory requirementsConduct safety meetings, inspections, and incident investigations as neededPartner with internal teams to resolve production issues and achieve plant objectivesSupport continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiencyMaintain accurate records related to production, attendance, safety, and employee performancePromote organization, housekeeping, and efficient use of plant equipment and resourcesWhat You'll Need3-5 years of supervisory or lead experience in a concrete manufacturing environment requiredACI Level I Field Testing Technician and Concrete Batch Plant Operator certifications preferredKnowledge of concrete manufacturing processes, industrial equipment, quality systems, and workplace safety practicesStrong leadership, communication, team building, problem solving, and organizational skillsAbility to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing production demandsAbility to read production schedules, work orders, blueprints, and technical drawingsProficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting systemsWorking knowledge of applicable safety, environmental, and employment regulations, with a demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and qualityAbility to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed, and perform the physical requirements of a manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 poundsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredWe are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
