Business Analyst

Business Analyst - IM IT Sales Tech Hybrid

The Business Analyst will work with all members of the Sales Tech team to implement and support projects and systems for all Distribution personnel. The primary focus of this position is the administration, enhancement, support and integration of Sales and CRM systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Performing detailed business and data analysis
• Documenting business and functional requirements
• Developing end user documentation
• Writing and executing test plans and cases
• Answering user questions
• Resolving system issues/problems in a timely manner
• Data Analysis and Data Mapping

The individual must be motivated, well organized, be sensitive to project and production deadlines, have a quick learning ability and be able to work both independently and in a team environment. They should have a demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and to handle multiple assignments and tasks over a given time period.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Working closely with other members of the team to perform data analysis, solutions design, testing, and release management across multiple systems
• Assisting team members in evaluating and implementing vendor tools and processes
• Ability to work with non-technical end users to interpret and document user requirements and develop functional specifications
• Participating in meetings with technical groups to ensure that all design questions (e.g., application security, data feeds, etc.) are addressed through the business analysis process
• Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of internal client requests. This includes maintaining standard Application support documentation and supporting the global production response team
• Serving as subject matter expert process, and/or operational proxy for end users in targeted areas of focus
• Managing operationally focused projects (e.g., non-political, data/workflow oriented)
• Participating in other Sales Tech support responsibilities as assigned
• Developing and executing test plans and test cases

Job requirements include:

• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
• Knowledge of software development and the system implementation life cycle
• Knowledge of client-server, database, system design, data modeling and technical architecture concepts
• Strong data query and analysis abilities and experience
• Experience with data mapping, data conversion, data integration
• Knowledge or experience with Snowflake Data Platform; for Client Data Platform – Nice to have
• Knowledge or experience with Salesforce CRM System
• Strong problem identification and problem-solving skills; ability to propose solutions
• Experience with Distribution/Sales systems - Preferred
• Financial Services industry knowledge – Preferred
• Knowledge of Tableau preferred
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence Tools a plus
• Knowledge of JIRA agile development software preferred
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience (computer science degree preferred)
