Versana is looking for a strategic, results-driven, highly organized, and analytical Chief of Staff to join our team. The team's goal is to drive operational efficiency, support scalable growth, and execute key strategic initiatives across the business.

As Chief of Staff, you will play a critical role in supporting the CEO and COO, driving cross-functional initiatives, ensuring that complex, interdependent projects are delivered on time, in the right sequence, and with clear ownership. You will report to the COO and work collaboratively with executive leadership, product, sales, client success, technology, operations, legal, compliance, and other stakeholders to deliver high-impact enterprise-wide projects. The ideal candidate will bring structure, visibility, and accountability to high-priority initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate executive priorities into execution: Convert executive leadership directives into clearly structured programs, including defined roadmaps, milestones, timelines, and accountable owners
• Ensure end-to-end program delivery: Lead complex, multi-workstream initiatives across internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment, timely execution, and achievement of defined business outcomes
• Drive program structure and discipline: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including dependencies, sequencing, critical paths, and deliverables across concurrent initiatives
• Enable data-driven execution: Define KPIs and success metrics for all programs; implement tracking frameworks to monitor progress, identify gaps, and inform decision-making
• Proactively manage risk and dependencies: Continuously identify risks, interdependencies, and bottlenecks; drive timely mitigation and resolution across multiple concurrent programs
• Support executive decision-making: Develop high-quality executive materials, including progress updates, dashboards, performance metrics, and decision memos for executive leadership, Board, and committee audiences (e.g., Finance & Audit)
• Coordinate Board and subcommittee preparation: Manage the planning timelines, agendas, ownership, and cross-functional inputs required for Board and subcommittee meetings
• Develop and organize Board and subcommittee decks: Partner with executives and functional leaders to consolidate business updates, recommendations, and approval requests into decision-ready meeting materials
• Drive accountability and meeting follow-through: Track decisions, open questions, action items, owners, and deadlines from Board and subcommittee discussions; ensure timely follow-up and visibility with the CEO and executive leadership
• Maintain and standardize meeting materials: Establish repeatable templates, version control, quality checks, and source-of-truth processes for Board and subcommittee decks, pre-reads, and supporting materials
• Drive operational scale and efficiency: Identify and implement process improvements, playbooks, and scalable operating frameworks to enhance execution consistency as the company grows

Must Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• 8–12+ years of experience in business management, operations, consulting, or project management
• Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional projects from planning through execution

Required Skills:

• Advanced program management capability: Proven experience structuring and delivering complex, multi-team programs with significant interdependencies
• Execution discipline: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to drive initiatives from ambiguity to completion with minimal oversight
• Executive-level communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex topics into clear, concise materials for senior stakeholders
• Board-Level Presentation Development: Expertise in creating executive-ready presentations, including strategic recommendations, business cases, financial analyses, operating reviews, and decision-support materials suitable for Board and committee audiences.
• Management Consulting Toolkit: Strong experience applying structured problem-solving, hypothesis-driven analysis, executive communication, and project governance methodologies
• Stakeholder leadership and influence: Ability to align and influence diverse stakeholders (including senior executives and external partners) without direct authority
• Structured problem-solving: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex problems, identify root causes, and develop actionable solutions
• Prioritization and adaptability: Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Comfort with ambiguity: Ability to create clarity, structure, and forward momentum in evolving or undefined situations
