Assistant Controller

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Assistant Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $130,000 to $160,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations by reviewing entries reconciliations and financial activities across multiple entities.
• Prepare and review monthly quarterly and annual financial statements to ensure accurate reporting.
• Manage consolidation activities and maintain accuracy of general ledger records and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate with internal departments to support reporting requirements and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain fixed asset records and oversee accounting related to capital projects and business investments.

• A Bachelor degree in accounting with professional certification considered beneficial.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience including leadership responsibilities.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting practices.
• Possess experience within real estate or property related accounting environments.
• Use Excel at an advanced level and work effectively with accounting software platforms.

• Develop and support accounting staff through training guidance and performance feedback.
• Maintain strong internal controls and promote compliance across all accounting functions.
• Prepare clear documentation reports and accounting procedures with strong technical writing skills.
• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Build effective relationships across departments and demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
