Interim Assistant Controller

Interim Assistant Controller Our client, a real estate investment management firm, is seeking an Interim Assistant Controller to provide critical accounting and reporting support during a temporary leave coverage period. This position is on-site in San Francisco, CA; however, remote candidates will be considered. This engagement will have a duration of 4-5 months. Responsibilities Partner with external fund administration teams to review and oversee fund-level accounting and financial reporting activities Review quarterly financial statements, fund reporting packages, and investment performance information Support fund and property-level audits and coordinate with external auditors and third-party service providers Review partnership agreements and related documents to ensure compliance with reporting and distribution requirements Assist with investor reporting, management reporting, and enhancement of reporting processes and dashboards Support cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, treasury activities, and financial analysis across multiple entities Participate in acquisition-related accounting activities, including transaction reviews and post-closing reconciliations Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, controls, and reporting procedures Requirements 5+ years of accounting experience, including significant real estate and fund accounting experience Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and investment fund structures Experience reviewing fund administrator-prepared financial statements and investor reporting packages Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills CPA preferred and ability to operate independently in a consulting or interim capacity The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan. #J-18808-Ljbffr Vaco Recruiter Services
