Overview Registered Nurse – Operating Room, Boston, MA. Start date 11/02/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay $2,618–$2,783 per week with 36 guaranteed hours. Shift: 12-hour. Work setting: hospital operating room with 17 rooms, staffed 24/7, and coverage across multiple surgical services. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,618–$2,783 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour shifts Start date: 11/02/2026 Setting: hospital operating room with broad surgical services Responsibilities Provide intraoperative nursing care as scrub and/or circulating RN, maintaining sterile technique and patient safety throughout procedures Prepare, position, drape, and assist with instrument handling and equipment; manage counts for instruments and sponges; ensure a sterile field Monitor patient status intraoperatively, collaborate with anesthesia and surgical team, document events, and facilitate safe patient recovery and handoff Support a wide range of surgical specialties including gen, gyn, GU, oral, oto, bariatrics, ortho, neuro, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, and spine May float to another OR department as needed; participate in a schedule with on-call requirements and weekend coverage (every 3rd weekend; alternating holidays) Requirements 2+ years of inpatient OR experience Scrub experience required BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required Ability to work across multiple service lines and support a high-volume OR Must be competent in at least 5 of the listed services On-call responsibilities and weekend coverage as part of the schedule Benefits and Support 13-week travel assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week 12‑hour shifts with opportunities for weekend and holiday coverage May float to another OR department as needed to support surgical services Local rate policy applies for candidates residing within 50 miles (local rate is $10 less than the standard rate) PAY DISCLAIMER RULE: Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
