This travel assignment places you in a busy OR suite with 17 operative rooms staffed 24/7. The role requires scrub experience and is suited to experienced inpatient OR nurses who can support a broad range of surgical services.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the operating room, supporting the surgeon, anesthesia team, and circulating staff
- Scrub for and circulate across a wide range of procedures; maintain a sterile field and ensure instrument counts are accurate
- Assist with instrument handling, patient positioning, and room setup before and after procedures
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, coordinate with the anesthesia team, and document essential events
- Maintain compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and OR turnover requirements; ensure equipment and supplies are ready for each case
- Be flexible with scheduling, including on-call requirements (1x per schedule) and potential float to other ORs as needed
- Participate in teamwork and communication to support high-quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced surgical environment

Requirements
- 2+ years of inpatient OR experience; level 1 trauma experience preferred
- Scrub experience required; ability to work across multiple service lines (gen, gyn, GU, oral, oto, bariatrics, ortho, neuro, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, spine)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule in a 24/7 OR setting
- Comfort with start times that vary by shift (day shift around 7:00 a.m.; evenings around 9:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m.)
- Willingness to float to other OR locations within the department as needed
