About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Media Relations to lead the strategic development and execution of media and press initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the company's media relations and press strategy, ensuring a strong and consistent institutional voice, and safeguarding its reputation in a dynamic media landscape. This role involves serving as a senior advisor to the company's leadership, positioning key individuals as authoritative voices, and managing the day-to-day operations of the press office. The Managing Director will also be tasked with anticipating and managing reputational risks, leading crisis communications, and cultivating relationships with journalists and media outlets. Candidates for this position should have a minimum of 12 years' experience in media relations, journalism, public affairs, or related fields, with a proven track record in enterprise-level media and reputation strategies. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required, with an advanced degree preferred. Experience in mission-driven organizations, particularly in philanthropy, the public sector, or international development, is highly valued. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of media trends, established relationships with top-tier journalists, and the ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives. Strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a strategic mindset are essential for this role.
