2nd shift - Experienced CNC Operator

Position Title: Experienced CNC Operator Wage: $21.00-$23.00 per hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 3:30pm-12:00am (Mon-Fri) QPS Employment Group has a great Experienced CNC Operator position available at a company in Glendale, MO. This is a 2nd shift position with the opportunity for hire. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (mills and/or lathes) to produce precision parts according to blueprints and job specifications. Load materials, install tooling, verify program settings, and perform first-article inspections. Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, work instructions, and inspection requirements. Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators). Make tool offsets, minor program edits, and adjustments to ensure dimensional accuracy and optimal machine performance. Troubleshoot machining, tooling, or quality issues and communicate findings to supervision or engineering as needed. Maintain machines through routine cleaning, maintenance, and basic preventative care. Accurately complete production, quality, and inspection documentation. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with company and 5S standards. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Proven experience as a CNC Operator in a precision manufacturing environment. Strong ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T. Proficiency with precision measuring tools and inspection techniques. Solid understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and controls. High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and safety. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Technical or vocational training in CNC machining or manufacturing technology preferred. Experience with multi‑axis CNC machines preferred. Familiarity with ISO, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement practices preferred. Experience working with tight tolerances and complex components preferred. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds preferred. Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for precision machining and inspection preferred.Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with machinery, noise, and moving equipment preferred.
