We have a fantastic opportunity for a Central Sterile Technician (Full-Time, Day Shift ) in our Montefiore, New Rochelle Facility.

Job Summary

The Central Sterile Technician performs and participates in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging , scanning , sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Education and Requirements:

• Must have completed a Central Sterile Processing certification course, and completed 400 hours internship and successfully passed the certification test.
• Certification IAHCSMM, 12 CEUs yearly / CSPD 100 CEU'S per 5 years.
• 3 years Experience
• High School Diploma/GED
• Must have knowledge and be competent of the following:
• Sterrad NX - Low temperature, Steris Steam Autoclave - Pre-vacuum. Getinge- Steam Autoclave Pre-vacuum ,Getinge- Ultrasonic Machines, Getinge- Washers, Getinge cart washers Insulation tester for laparoscopic instruments Heat seal machine for Steam and Sterrad peel pouches.
