Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager oversees the day-to-day functions of mechanics, bus washers, utility workers and administrative staff members. Maintenance facilities typically operate on a three-shift basis to ensure that maintenanceonequipmentiscompleted;tests andinspectionsofproducts,services andprocesses toevaluatequality orperformanceofthatequipmentare accomplished;andspecifications aremettoDOT,clientorcompanystandards. This position is based in Arlington, VA in supporting the Arlington Transit contract.

Qualifications:

• Highschooldiploma,GEDorequivalent

• ValidCDLClassB(orhigher)with passengerand airbrakeendorsementspreferred

• 7years+experienceintherepairandmaintenanceofall typesofheavy-dutyautomotiveandtransit equipment

• 3 years+ofsupervisoryexperience

• Broadunderstanding ofallmechanicalsystemsrelated toheavy-duty transportation vehicles

• Familiaritywithlaws &regulations associatedwiththesafeoperationofmaintenance facilities

• ProficientwithMicrosoftOffice

• Excellentwrittenandoralcommunicationskills

• Mustbe able toworkshifts orflexible workschedulesasneeded.

• Withstandheavytrafficareaswhileperformingthedutiesofthejob;tolerateexposuretoconsiderable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
