Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred for physical therapy services, adhering to physician orders, to determine individualized treatment needs.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on thorough assessments and collaborate with patients to set realistic goals.
• Implement treatment protocols through hands-on therapy, patient education, and collaboration with support staff, ensuring each patient progresses toward rehabilitation goals.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and rehabilitation aides to ensure optimal delivery of patient care, in accordance with state regulations and best practice standards.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress and treatment efficacy, in line with departmental requirements and legal standards.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to enhance communication and coordination of care across various disciplines.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities to stay updated on the latest therapeutic techniques and best practices in physical therapy.
• Foster a supportive atmosphere by conducting informal training sessions for staff to share knowledge and improve overall treatment quality.
• Adhere to confidentiality regulations concerning patient and organizational information, ensuring the privacy and respect of all individuals involved.
• Manage billing information accurately and responsibly, facilitating compliance with facility procedures.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. Your ability to tailor treatment strategies to meet the specific needs of each patient will be vital in promoting their recovery and enhancing their functional capacity.

Qualifications

• A current and valid Florida State License as a Physical Therapist.
• Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License and auto insurance, ensuring mobility for patient visits if necessary.
• Certification in CPR, along with up-to-date physical and PPD (Purified Protein Derivative) tests.
• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program; advanced degrees are encouraged.
