Across our 60+ locations, we provide programs in a variety of service areas, including workforce development, children, youth, families, seniors and homeless prevention. RESPONSIBILITIES Manage a small caseload for a diverse client population for the following programs: ACS Voucher Recert Program, Emergency Needs for the Homeless Program and Food Access and Assistance Program. Conduct intakes and assessment and input information in database (provided by ACS/Robinhood) and Salesforce Provide clients with internal and external referrals as needed Perform client advocacy and follow-ups services Document client progress and all interactions with or on behalf of clients in the database Complete training needed to facilitate information to targeted communities (catchment areas in provided Community Districts; BX 1, 2,3,6,4,5,7,9, and 11) Participate in community outreach events as scheduled Perform additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree/HS/GED with 1 year experience in benefits and gov’t entitlements Proficiency in modern business communications including personal computers, electronic mail, voicemail, and copier equipment Proficiency in virtual platforms is preferred Develop a customized service plan with clients, outlining action steps and responsibilities. Assist the client with obtaining necessary documentation to recertify their existing ACS Childcare voucher. This includes catchment areas in the following community districts in the Bronx (catchment areas; BX 1, 2,3,6,4,5,7,9, and 11) Conduct follows ups to families (using multiple sources such as text, email, phone or in person (if required) to ensure they can sustain their childcare benefit. Maintain up to date case files and database entries, as well as regular contact with clients via office visits, telephone contact and home visits. Coordinate client referrals for other needed services Other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time. Ability to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents. Ability to travel in the boroughs of New York City and its adjacent counties via public transportation. Ability to travel for a minimum of 1 mile within a reasonable amount of time and in all types of weather, including inclement weather, if required to conduct home visits and/or field work.
